Creator Rate Estimator: price on engagement, not follower count
Pricing on follower count is the most expensive habit in this industry. Followers can be bought and engagement can be faked, but an engagement ratio that does not fit is much harder to disguise. This estimator works backwards from how many people actually see and engage, rather than from a number that can be purchased.
Median follower count by platform
Whether an account counts as large depends on the platform. Median follower counts across our index:
| Platform | Median followers |
| TikTok | 21,793 |
| X (Twitter) | 3,913 |
| YouTube | 17,200 |
| 0 | |
| Xiaohongshu | 11,600 |
| Twitch | 26,432 |
| Douyin | 153,553 |
| Threads | 3,360 |
| 7,641 |
Limits of this estimate
This is a negotiation reference, not a market price. Real rates also depend on category (finance and beauty differ enormously), format (a mention versus a deep review), exclusivity and usage rights. More importantly, engagement itself can be inflated — ask for analytics screenshots before committing, and verify with tracked links after.
